How do I download a video?
Copy the link of the video, open the downloader page for that platform, paste the link into the box and press Download. Then choose the format or quality you want and save the file.
Is Solyptube free? Do I need an account?
Solyptube is free to use. You do not need an account or an app.
The link does not work. What should I check?
Check that the post is public, that you copied the full link and that it has not been deleted. Try another browser, wait a minute and try again. The checklist below has more steps.
Why can I not download a private or login-only video?
Solyptube only works with publicly available links. Private content, and anything that needs you to log in, cannot be downloaded.
Where is the file saved?
Android: in your Downloads folder or gallery. iPhone: in the Files app under Downloads, and you can then save it to Photos from the share menu. Computer: in your browser's Downloads folder.
Which formats and qualities can I choose?
It depends on the video. Depending on the platform, you may see video in MP4, audio, a silent version of the video and the thumbnail. The qualities shown are the ones the platform makes available.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Use Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android. On a computer it works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
Is it legal to download videos?
Only save content that you own or have permission to save, and follow the platform's terms and the copyright rules in your country. Read our Terms of Service.
How do I contact you?

The link does not work: try this
- Copy the full link. Use the Share menu and choose Copy link, or copy the address from your browser bar.
- Check that the post is public. Open the link in a private (incognito) window. If you need to log in to see it, Solyptube cannot download it.
- Make sure it still exists. Deleted or removed posts cannot be downloaded.
- Try another browser. Use Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone, or Chrome, Edge or Firefox on a computer.
- Wait a minute and try again. Platforms sometimes change and a link can fail for a short time.
Report an error
If it still fails, email us and include:
- the address of the Solyptube page you used;
- the link you pasted;
- the message you saw, if any;
- your device and browser.
